Gardening was a hobby for my grandmother too
My mass of greenery in Caledon.
My sons each had a little veggie garden.
I always add milkweed to my gardens for the Monarchs.
When you grow your own veggies, you sometimes get a surprise
I had the idea of creating a butterfly garden using sand and tires. Yes, that’s my tractor.
I laid down the weed barrier and painted the tires.
Then added the sand with my trusty Kioti tractor
Then, I added plants. This year, 2023, it should be a bit more filled in with flowers.
My mother’s front yard is awash with plants. Those are my sons.
The sand prevents weeding but I will still have to rake the fall leaves
Next, I bought some used blocks on Facebook’s Marketplace and started to design gardens on a slope
I had to move this bush garden in November cause it caused problems when plowing snow
My friend had a pond liner sitting around, in it went
Next came the plants 🪴
The front yard was a little bare so yes, I dug some more
